The band were performing for the V series TV show on Channel V. It was an album I embraced and respected them for doing something. Recorded during late 1995 on the Vault promo tour. Slang holds a weird place in Def Leppards extensive catalog of albums across the decades. This is the only Def Leppard album not to feature their trademark 'pyrite' font logo which was used in various forms on all other albums (not including the original Def Leppard E.P.).Īs with Adrenalize/Vault the UK market had a special 2CD version with a bonus disc of six live acoustic tracks from Singapore.

These also included various working titles for songs that did like 'Tell Me The Truth' (Truth?) plus 'Ghandi's Revenge' (possibly an instrumental version of 'Ring Of Fire' once mentioned by Joe) and 'Fresh Bones (Cross Bones)'. Other song titles were mentioned before the release of the album that did not make it onto the final tracklisting. It featured four singles including the title track - the album's biggest hit. The album saw a slight change in sound a lyrical content on many tracks which had a darker theme to them. The sixth studio album released by the band.
